tink you couldn't be more wrong. marijuana is mentally addicting. not physically. no what else is mentally addicting, video games, and ice cream…

where are all those studies you speak of. you'll spend your entire life searching for them, because they don't exist.

i think weed could be a very good way to quit ciggarettes especially but also alcohol. basically it will take your mind off of the physical addictions and lessen the withdrawal symptoms.

Oh jeez people. No one seems to really understand the difference between mental and physical addiction. Cigarettes and alcohol are physically addictive, meaning your body will have a physical reaction from withdrawal. Some withdrawal symptoms can be mild like upset stomach or a headache, while withdrawal symptoms from heavy use or certain drugs can be downright miserable. Xanax withdrawals can cause seizures, and hardcore alcoholics can actually die if they suddenly stop drinking. That's what makes these things physically addictive. Marijuana can not fall into this category because it will never make you ill or kill you if you suddenly stop taking it. Marijuana is however psychologically addictive because it feels good. People like things that feel good. I liken marijuana addiction to be much like addiction to chocolate or coffee or sex.

no, because alcohol has withdrawl symptoms & i doubt that if your an alcoholic weed would reduce your withdrawl symptoms..
also, like the others said weed is phycologically addicting but it has no physical withdrawl so its a lot easier to quit weed you just want the high but when ur addicted to alcohol or nicotine your body needs the substance to function normally or you start to have headaches, get shakey, etc & in cases of extreme alcoholics quitting can have dangerous side effects

Weed IS addicting. Plenty of scientific evidence behind that statement. Anyhow…
I can't tell you why you drink less when high….I would say I drank about the same most of the time, and sometimes I drank a good deal more because I was so blew out that by the time the bud wore off I was falling down drunk….

You can't cure an additiction by substitution.
Total absintance is only one part of treating addiction.

Dude, you'll just be trading one high for another, if you really want to get clean you'll have to quit both of them. Tobacco is physically addicting, but it is also psychologically addicting as well, if you can quit for 2 weeks the physical symptoms will be gone, the psychological want and habits may take much longer to break.

Marijuana is not an addicting drug I mean it can be psycologically but so can world of warcraft and chocolate... Nicotine and alcohol are addicting especially nicotine. Weed is a medicine stop smoking tabacco.

Yes. I used to LOVE drinking. Once I started smoking weed every now and again I always choose weed over alcohol, unless its some big party where I don't know anyone
