Opinions about the best cure for Alcoholism.?
It seems to be a tough addiction to get away from. I'm wondering if anyone that reads this has a good solution that may have worked for them. Thanks.
I'm not a trained expert on this but I did live 13 years with an active alcoholic who is now dying of cirrhosis of the liver so I'm sure I'm quite capable of helping you. Obviously if you're an alcoholic you shouldn't drink. Not that easy. Try AA meetings they are anonymous and you get to see and hear from all different types of people at different levels of the disease. If the situation is too far gone and you don't feel that would help there are long and short term rehab facilities that have trained staff that will help as well …..BUT YOU HAVE TO WANT THE HELP ..Try removing yourself from social functions where alchohol is available for a start. If you are a "closet drinker" the other 2 options would probably be better for you. If you are asking for help for yourself thats a big step in itself ..if its for someone else than they are lucky to have someone that cares enough to research the possibilities for them ….Good luck either way.
